Baggage

Hand baggage

Any passenger from the age of 2 years can free of charge carry 8 kg of hand baggage. The maximum dimensions of the hand baggage are 50 cm, 40 cm and 25 cm. The sum of the three dimensions must not exceed 115 cm.

Checked baggage

Travelling on a Saver Flex or Flex ticket you are allowed to bring up to 20 kilos in total against payment of 50 dkk (8 EUR). per baggage unit, per segment. Excess baggage will be subject to a charge of 10 EUR pr. KG. – Please note that it is not possible to book more than 20 kilos in total. If you are travelling on a Full Flex ticket you are allowed to bring along 30 kg of baggage free of charge.

Children under the age of 2 years are allowed to carry 10 kg of free baggage

Excess baggage will be subject to a charge of 10 EUR pr. KG.

There are no refund for prepaid baggage.
 

Check-in of baggage
If your reservation consists of two separate tickets, your baggage will be checked in to your final destination, but Cimber Sterling is only responsible for your baggage on the Cimber Sterling ticket/route. However, if your tickets are booked as a through fare (several destinations in one booking) we can check-in your baggage to your final destination, and we are also responsible for your baggage to your final destination.

You are not allowed to bring along with you anything which is likely to endanger the aircraft or persons or property on board - e.g. paint or liquids. Download a folder about liquids here
Valuables and electronical equipment, fragiles, perisables, money, jewellery, silver, personal or business documents, medicine, product samples and other personal belongings will not be replaced.


Delay of baggage (download conditions)

Cimber Sterling regrets that your baggage is delayed and we apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused.
The “Property Irregularity Report “(PIR) handed out proves that the delay is reported, and the PIR should be kept for later use, if necessary, in connection with recourse.
Cimber Sterling’s handling agent is responsible for tracking the missing baggage in the airport of arrival within the first five days after the notification. Therefore the handling agent must be contacted during this period. After 5 days Cimber Sterling is responsible for tracking your baggage. Tracking of the missing baggage is based on the name on the baggage, as well as the baggage tag that was attached to the baggage at the check-in counter in the airport of departure. Therefore it is important that the name and address on the baggage match the name and address you state in the report. When your baggage has arrived, you will be contacted by our handling agent concerning delivery of baggage. The expenses related to the delivery will be covered by Cimber Sterling.

If you have not signed for travel insurance that covers delay of baggage, Cimber Sterling will compensate the verified expenses for essential articles such as clothing and toilet articles within the following economical limits:

Less than 24 hours: No compensation
More than 24 hours: 100 USD, but only in return of receipts.

Compensation is only given to passenger on outbound travel.
If your expenses exceed 100 USD we recommend you to contact your insurance company.
Refund of outlay will only be accepted if the original receipts, the original Property Irregularity Report (PIR) and bank information (BIC / BAC information) are forwarded to Cimber Sterling.


Lost baggage/damaged baggage (download conditions)

If we have not been able to localize your baggage within 45 days, the baggage will be considered lost. With reference to the Montreal Convention valid for airlines, Cimber Sterling’s liability is limited and therefore we recommend you to report the lost/damaged baggage to your own insurance company. Cimber Sterling is not responsible for electronic equipment, fragile items, valuables, jewelry, keys, laptops, telephones, perishable goods, money, personal documents, medicine, music instruments, expensive outfits, cameras, prams, pushchairs and scooters/wheelchairs.
