Shopping and relaxation in Tel Aviv
If you like shopping streets lined with tempting boutiques, don’t miss a trip down Allenby Street in the city centre. It’s known for brand-name clothing at very affordable prices as well as its wide range of furniture shops, bakeries, bookshops and especially its newsstands. And if you follow the street towards the northwest, you end up at the coast. Allenby Street connects with Tel Aviv’s beach promenade, where you can rest your feet, relax, and enjoy the view while sipping a cold drink at one of the beach cafés.

Or discover a real Israeli market, such as Shuk HaCarmel, a typical market with stallholders loudly advertising their wares as they try to tempt passersby with everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and bread to inexpensive clothes, accessories and souvenirs.
And if you need to cool down a bit, you can also take in a little air-conditioned browsing in several shopping malls with each their own unique mix of shops. You won’t have to leave until you've crossed all your 'must-haves' off your list. One of these shopping paradises is the gigantic Azrieli Center, located in the base of a skyscraper complex. You can also take the lift to the 49th floor where you can visit the Azrieli Observatory, the highest point in the city, where you can take in the spectacular panoramic view of the city and the Mediterranean.
