- Tel Aviv has a population of approximately 400,000 living in a metropolitan area of about 52 square kilometres.
- Tel Aviv features a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers. The area receives a fair amount of rain during the winter months, but it never snows in Tel Aviv.

- The official currency of Israel is the shekel, and all major credit cards are accepted. We do however recommend that you also carry small amounts of cash, both in local currency and US dollars.
- Israeli visa regulations do not require Danish citizens to seek a visa for stays of less than three months.
- Cimber Sterling flies to Ben Gurion International Airport, Israel’s largest and busiest airport, located 15 km from Tel Aviv. It has also been named the best airport in the Middle East and is considered to be one of the safest airports in the world. There are no hotels at the airport, but the closest hotels are on the outskirts of the city approximately five minutes drive from the airport.
- Driving in Tel Aviv is not recommended for the faint of heart, so even though renting a car may seem like the best idea, it may not be: traffic is hectic and the locals aren't known for their patience. The easiest way to get around Tel Aviv is on foot, or by taxi for slightly longer distances. And the Tel Aviv bus system is very convenient, with frequent buses to everywhere around the city.
